Introducing Thamar

東京は本当に何をやるにしても飽きない都市です。すごく綺麗だし、住んでる人もいい人ばかりだし。ニューヨークとかと比べても東京は過小評価されてるような気がします。東京の人たちのお互いのことを邪魔せず生きてく感じが好きです。例えば電車の中ではみんな静かにしているところとか。あとはエスカレーターで左に並ぶルールまであるところとか。そういうところがすごく気に入っています。 今は東京ドームの近くの学生寮に住んでいます。渋谷とかよりももっと落ち着いた場所です。とは言っても、私はよくいろんな人にじろじろ見られます。最初に東京に来た時はこの髪型じゃなかったんです。黒髪で編み込んだポニーテールでした。この髪型に変えてからガンつけられたりするようになりました（笑）まぁほんとにそれ以外に関しては、東京での生活はとても楽しいです。

There is so much to do in Tokyo. It’s so clean and everyone is so nice. Compared to places like New York, I feel like Tokyo is underrated. I like how people here try not to bother other people; they’re always quiet on the subway, for instance. They even have rules for how to walk up and down stairs. I really appreciate that. Right now, I’m staying in student housing, in an area near Tokyo Dome. It’s a lot calmer there than where we are right now, in Shibuya. That said, I do receive a lot of stares sometimes. When I first came here, my hair was not like this; I had a black, braided ponytail. After I changed my hairstyle, I received extreme glares (laughs). Other than that, it’s been fun being here.
