Introducing Malina

いつも何して遊んでるか？うーん、あんまり外じゃ遊ばないかもしれないです。家から出てすることって言ったら、今私たちがやってることもそうだけど、ネットワーキングだったり仕事をしたりって感じです。たぶん高校時代の友達が基本的にみんな東京からいなくなったからだと思います。お気に入りの場所はシーシャ（東京の水タバコ屋）です。東京で一番好きお店は新宿や渋谷のノースビレッジじゃなくて、 上野にあるお店です。And U っていう名前なんですけどチェーン店じゃなくて、内装が本当にキュートでどこよりもお洒落なんです。白基調の内装と可愛い椅子とかクッションはすごくインスタ映えするんです。中で流れてる音楽もすごくいいんです。ヒップホップとか、時々ジャズも流れてます。もちろん中にはバーがあるんですけど、コーヒーも出してて、カフェっぽくもあるんです。とにかく、私は自分のパソコンを持って And Uに行くのが大好きなんです。連れて行った友達もみんな気に入ってくれています。And U は別格なんです。

What do I do when chilling? I don’t really just chill. If I step out of the house, it’s usually to network, like we are doing now, or to work. That’s because all of my friends since high school have basically left Tokyo–they are in different places now. As for my favorite hangout spots, I like shisha–the hookah places in Tokyo. My favorite one in Tokyo is not in North Village in Shinjuku, or one of those in Shibuya. It’s in Ueno. There’s only one there–and it’s not a chain. It’s called And U, and it’s the cutest, most aesthetically pleasing place: it’s all white and Instagramable, and with super-cute chairs and cushions. They also play nice music there: hip-hop, but light hip-hop, and sometimes even jazz. They mix it up. Of course they have the bar but they also offer coffee; it’s actually more like a cafe. Anyway, I like to just get my computer and go there. And all the friends that I’ve taken there so far love it. It’s very different from all the other places.
