Introducing Zucca

エンジニアは一種の魔法使いなんじゃないかと思うようになりました。急速に進化するテクノロジー、サザエさんを見ていると近所の商店に電話を借りに行ってますが、住宅用の電話が日本の一般家庭に普及したのは60-70年前くらいの話だそうです。当時の人に「そう遠くない未来、電話は一人一台携帯することになるよ。その電話はカメラ、テレビ、ゲーム、財布やチケットにもなって、図書館よりも膨大な情報収集ができるよ。」とか言ったらどんな反応をするのか、気になります。ものづくりの可能性は無限大です。私は映像・音楽業界で制作の仕事を10年程してきましたが、今は並行してクリエイティブ・コーディングを学んでいます。そう遠くない未来に「見たことない、面白い！」って、言ってもらえるような作品を、自分の大好きな音楽とアートの世界で作っていきたいなと思っています。
I’m not an engineer, but I’ve become convinced that the closest thing to magic is engineering. It’s crazy to think that it’s only been 70 years since most Japanese people could own any electric products. Now I work in a makerspace where the door opens over Wi-Fi, and a friend decides to randomly make laser-cut glasses for a chinchilla to wear on Instagram [[laughs]]. Creativity is limitless. As for my passions: they were mainly in video and music, and I was in that field for a decade. But now I’m studying creative coding because my new goal is to merge all my passions – music, art and technology – and create multi-media content and experiences that will make people feel something new.
